1699

Jean GEORGET was a Soldier in Fort St. Louis

The
Fort was in Québec City, at the
top of the
cliffs (Cap‑aux‑Diamants) overlooking
the lower city and the St. Lawrence River. The Fort was the biggest
building in New France, and it looked like a little fortress.
in 1683 There was a new battery of cannons to
defend Québec City and the river, which lead into
the interior of New France, the Great Lakes, and the land of the Hurons.
