ADDITIONAL & UNPROCESSED INFO BELOW...

Charles Emile lived in Pembina most all his life, being one of the oldest pioneers to settle there.

Dad loved to read, and I remember when I was growing up and would bring home my History & Geography books, he would read these books, gathering all the knowledge he could of these far away places, and the history of the United States.

As I remember, he did not get much schooling, so he read as much as he could from books brought home from school. He was a very knowledgeable and well read man.

Dad was manager of the airport at Pembina for twenty years. He enjoyed his work there, meeting many pilots who flew for Northwest Airlines. He spoke of them often, and made many lifetime friendships. After the airport closed, he worked odd jobs until his retirement.
